This session explores the lived experience of an individual who underwent Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) surgery to address Tourette Syndrome (TS) and co-occurring conditions such as depression and OCD. Participants will learn more about the DBS process, including working with a multidisciplinary team and exploring all available treatment options before surgery. We’ll explore roles and responsibilities of the DBS team and hear firsthand about the challenges, decision-making, and outcomes of pursuing DBS, providing insight and reassurance about a complex and often intimidating process.
